The Endependence Center is an Employment Network (EN) through a contract with the Social Security Administration (SSA) to coordinate employment services and provide support services under the Ticket-to-Work (TTW) Program.
What is the Ticket to Work Program?
Social Security’s Ticket to Work program supports career development for Social Security disability beneficiaries age 18 through 64 who want to work. The Ticket program is free and voluntary and helps people with disabilities progress toward financial independence.
Social Security’s Ticket to Work program is available to people with disabilities receiving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI). Services are provided to Social Security beneficiaries that have assigned their ticket to the Endependence Center. While you are actively participating in the Ticket-to-Work Program, you can get the help you need to obtain and maintain employment with:
- Career counseling;
- Pre-employment skills training;
- Employment search assistance;
- Job accommodation information;
- Employee rights information;
- Referral Services;
- Referral to WIPA project for benefits counseling; and
- On-going support and job retention services.
We offer many different services under the Ticket to Work program and our services are consumer centered to the individual seeking services.
